Last post I talked about why Christian movies aren't as inspiring as a lot of secular movies are. I promised I would share a few of my favourite Christian movies that I think are inspiring--in fact, more so than a lot of secular movies. So here they are.

Disclaimer #1: I'm going to talk disparagingly about some Christian movies. I don't think that these movies are horrible; I just don't think they're all that they should be. Please don't feel offended because I find fault with these movies. I actually own and enjoy watching many of them.
Disclaimer #2: This kind of ended up being a rant. Sorry about that.
Let's face it. Christian movies aren't very popular except among Christians. And even though they're funny, exciting, touching, etc., you'll usually hear Christians recommend them because they're clean. Unfortunately, that's really the biggest thing going for them.
Sadly, I don't have any fans. (Excuse me while I have a short sob fest over here.)
BUT I am a huge fangirl myself, so this is advice from a fan for how to keep your fans happy with you. Some people *cough* StevenMoffatJamesDashner *cough* seem to enjoy making their fans unhappy. Sure, their fans are still devoted (because the stories are so awesome), but there's a lot of hate mixed with the love. So please, please, please if you're going to write books or movies or tv shows, do these things. After all, we fans are so devoted we really do deserve something, don't we? *nods vigourously* |
